Farm Tours for School Groups
COME SPEND A DAY ON THE FARM
Our association has had an active school tours program since 1974. Thousands of
children every year visit a farm for the day to learn first-hand what rural life is
about. As the type of farms and the services they offer all vary, we recommend
you visit each of the internet sites to find the one that’s right for you.
How to make your booking
- Choose your farm by looking over the internet sites.
- Choose your date
- Call the farm to determine availability
- Make the arrangements for your transportation.
- If your school secretary did not make your booking, inform her of them and arrange that
the cheque for payment of your tour will be available to take out to the farm the day of
your tour. All cheques should be made payable to the individual farms.
- If you must make some change in your plans, or if you are force to cancel your visit.
please inform the farm so that another school can take advantage of the opening.
Due to the number of students visiting the farms we do not guarantee
exclusive bookings!
Please have the following information ready when you make your booking:
- Name of teacher (co-ordinating teacher if there are several) also the teacher's home
phone number.
- name, address, postal code and phone number of school
- number of students and their grade(s) and number of adults planning on being taken out
on tour
- name of farm, date of tour
